My name is Sebastian Tello-Trillo, I am an Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Economics at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). My fields of specialization are Health Economics and Applied Microeconomics. I have interest in the areas of health policy in the U.S and Latin America.

For 2019-2020 I am a Scholar-in-Residence through the Institute for Research Poverty @ UW Madison and visited the Center for Poverty Research at UC Davis. I also co-edit the ASHEcon Newsletter and enjoy participating in different mentoring programs such as the Research in Color Foundation. With Aparna Soni and Jevay Grooms, I founded the DMV Health Econ Workshop day, which is scheduled to have its first iteration in Fall 2021. With Alex Hollingsworth, I am the co-host of the podcast "The Hidden Curriculum", a podcast on topics of productivity in the economics profession.

Mi nombre es Sebastian Tello-Trillo, soy docente de economía y políticas públicas en el Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy de la Universidad de Virginia (Charlottesville, Virginia - a 2.5 horas de Washington DC) y un Faculty Research Fellow en la National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Mis áreas de investigación son economía de la salud, y microeconomía aplicada (causal inference). Tengo un rango de intereses en políticas de salud pública en Estados Unidos y Latinoamérica.

También soy uno de los editores de el boletín para la sociedad americana de economistas de la salud (o ASHEcon). Me gusta participar en programas de mentoring como Research in Color Foundation. Con mis colegas Aparna Soni y Jevay Grooms, funde el DMV Health Econ Workshop day, un seminario para economistas de la salud de la area de Washington DC, Virginia y Maryland.
